Every sip of this super-speedy smoothie is bursting with berries and vitamins C and E. Use a mixture of oats, oatmeal, oatbran or wheatgerm – they all work well
Ingredients (Makes 1 x 275ml/10fl oz portion)
- 1 ripe banana, peeled and chopped
- 125g/41⁄2oz blueberries, plus a few extra to serve
- 25g/1oz porridge oats
- 15g/1⁄2oz wheatgerm
- 1 tsp honey
- 75ml/3oz semi-skimmed milk
Place all the ingredients into a blender and whizz until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, thin with a little extra milk, then pour it into a glass, top with a few blueberries and drink straight away.
