Ultimate Frangipane Mince Pies

Serves 12

1 x JUS-ROL™ All Butter Sweet* Shortcrust Pastry sheet
200g mincemeat
45g caster sugar
45g butter – melted
1 egg
45g ground almonds
A few flaked almonds for decoration

1)Preheat oven to 200⁰C / 180⁰C for fan assisted/ Gas Mark 6
2)Unroll the sheet and with a cookie cutter, cut out 12 discs and use to line a jam tart or bun tin
3)Place a scant teaspoonful of mincemeat in the base of each
4)Beat together the egg and sugar, then stir in the butter and the ground almonds. Divide between the tarts and finally scatter with a few flaked almonds
5)Bake for 15 – 18 minutes until the pastry and tops are golden brown. Serve warm with brandy or Amaretto butter
