When news broke of Jessica Biel’s top secret wedding to Justin Timberlake this weekend, thoughts immediately turned to what the A-lister had worn. But many switched on fashion fans had already guessed that the actress would plump for Giambattista Valli. The pair have been good friends for years, with the 30-year-old often spotted modelling some of his bridal-like creations on the red carpet and gracing the front rows of his spectacular Paris Fashion Week shows.

Most recently, she sported a stunning white feathered peplum number that wowed onlookers at the London premiere of Total Recall. And last year, Jessica attended the annual Fashion Group International's 28th annual Night of Stars on Giambattista's arm, wearing a stunning floor length cream gown.At the event, the pair had nothing but kind words for each other. "She’s a very good friend, from the beginning of both our careers," Giambattista said. And he admitted that she helps bring his gowns to life: "When I do clothes, I do 50 percent of the job. "The other 50 percent has to be the interpretation of the person who is going to wear it, and Jessica does that in a wonderful way." Jessica, meanwhile, also took the chance to sing the designer's praises later in the evening, when she presented him with an award. In her speech, the actress described their very first night on the town after his runway show in Paris. "We dined on the most delicious vodka and pickles I had ever tasted. And I tried caviar for the first time," she recalled. "I was both intimidated and awed by this beautiful man, simply dressed and accessorized with one strand of enormous pearls. His creations reflect the person he is: daring, flirtatious … the kind of man who keeps you out on the town until four a.m. and then uses the night's adventures as inspiration in the morning."

But Jessica did have a secret to reveal to her fashionable pal. "Giamba, I have a confession," she said. "I really hated that caviar. But I loved you. And like a simple silhouette with a shocking train of ruffles, or a sheath topped with an enormous bow, you stand with your pearls as a one-of-a-kind creation yourself. "Giambattista managed to create a spectacular dress for Jessica's big day. With its soft, petal pink hue, layers of decadent chiffon and princess silhouette, she was every inch the blushing bride in the stunning creation. In an interview with HELLO!, Justin told how laying his eyes on his bride in her stunning gown, for the first time was, "the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." While Jessica describes how she wanted the dress to be, "romance, romance, romance. Kind of whimsical and dramatic." The couple also explain why they chose Italy ("We love to eat!") and how they were "so excited to have this moment and share it with our family and friends," who included close pals comedian Jimmy Fallon, SNL star Andy Samberg, musician Timbaland and Jessica's 7th Heaven co-star Beverley Mitchell. Don't forget, we'll will have all the details of their magnificent Mediterranean wedding, including exclusive photos, in next week's issue of HELLO! Magazine, on sale from Monday October 29.
