Reese accessorised with a Tiffany diamond bracelet and wore her signature blonde locks in loose, side-swept waves. Joining Reese on the red carpet in the capital was fellow Hollywood star Amy Adams. The actress is going up against Reese in the Best Actress category, nominated her role in Big Eyes.

Amy was white hot in a stunning Stella McCartney gown that put her enviable curves on display. The designer dress featured a diamante-embellished belt with tassel detailing. Another Best Actress nominee to hit the red carpet was Rosamund Pike, who was the epitome of laidback glamour in a black Roland Mouret number.

Putting the glamour into the Supporting Actress category was Keira Knightley, who gave yet another masterclass in maternity dressing as she stepped out in a floral purple Giambattista Valli gown.
