The world did a double take when Amal Clooney's sister Tala Alamuddin enjoyed a day out in New York on Wednesday. Not only does she look almost identical to her older sister, but Tala clearly also shares Amal's flawless sense of style.

George Clooney's sister-in-law looked effortlessly cool during a visit to the Big Apple, rocking an on-trend black leather fringed mini skirt by French designer Isabel Marant teamed with a black top and leather jacket.

Tala further showcased her fashion-forward style with edgy black stiletto boots featuring cut-out detailing, and completed her edgy ensemble with one of Moschino's highly-coveted milkshake cup-shaped bags.

It comes as no surprise that Amal's stylish sibling fitted right in with the stylish New Yorker crowd – while nowadays she lives in Singapore with her family and their dog, she previously lived in the bustling American city.

No doubt Tala has been enjoying some quality time with Amal, who is set to stay in New York for the foreseeable future. George, 53, is busy filming his new movie Money Monster, whilst Amal recently announced that she is joining Columbia University this spring as a visiting faculty member and as a senior fellow with the law school's Human Rights Institute.

The couple did enjoy a rare night off from their hectic schedules joining Tala as well as the sisters' parents for a family dinner at Caravaggio in the city's trendy Upper East Side. While Amal wowed in a black minidress with a white floral print and red trim, Tala held her own next to her style icon sister.

The British-Lebanese beauty was the epitome of chic in a sleek beige dress. She toughened up the elegant ensemble with a cream sleeveless leather jacket, completing the look with black snakeskin print boots and a matching handbag.
