With only two days to go until her highly-anticipated New York Fashion Week show on Sunday, Victoria Beckham has been making final preparations – and son Brooklyn has been on hand to help. The 16-year-old looked as effortlessly cool as his mum as he paid her a visit on Friday, after her busy day of casting models for her show.

"NY fashion week. Here we come," Brooklyn captioned a black-and-white photo of the pair on his Instagram, shared with his 4.2 million followers. Fans quickly took to the photo-sharing website to comment on how much the young model looks like his fashion designer mother – but it was also Victoria's choice of footwear which garnered a lot of attention.

Despite being renowned for her trademark stilettos or black pumps, in the behind-the-scenes snap Victoria is rocking a pair of white trainers. She has however stayed true to her love of all-black outfits, pairing a loose bomber jacket with chic slouchy trousers – again, a different look for the mother-of-four who usually favours tailored ensembles.

Taking to her own Instagram account and sharing another photo of the stylish duo, Victoria was quick to tease her son with some fashion advice, while also poking fun at herself.

"What is with the turn ups @brooklynbeckham? Who knew I was so short?! X vb," she quipped in the caption, shared with her 6.7 million followers.

No doubt it's been a hectic week for the star, who touched down in New York to put the finishing touches on her Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Ever since she launched her label in 2008, the former Spice Girls singer's catwalk presentation has become one of the most anticipated shows in the Big Apple's Fashion Week schedule.

Last year saw husband David and the couple's four children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper all sitting front row to support Victoria, alongside legendary editor Anna Wintour.
