Ashley Graham was thrilled to represent curvy women in H&M at her first ever Met Gala on Monday night. The 29-year-old model attended the 2017 ceremony in New York rocking a corset-style gown with a white top and red billowing skirt, with scarlet ruffles on her right shoulder. It was a custom-made piece by the high street retailer and having formed a strong relationship with the brand over the years Ashley couldn't wait to grace her first Met Gala red carpet wearing one of its ensembles.

"I've been working with the brand for years, and my first time walking in Paris Fashion Week was for H&M," she told Teen Vogue ahead of the event. "I've always admired their commitment to providing options to a wide range of customers - from diversity in size range to diversity in styles.

"In addition to spending the evening with those in the industry who I admire, I'm most excited to represent for the curvy women! It's so surreal and shows the industry is becoming more inclusive."

The ceremony honoured 74-year-old Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo and her intricate approach to fashion, with many of the Met Gala's guests' outfits reflecting her unique aesthetic. Brunette beauty Ashley was one of them as she made sure her H&M number did the star's work justice.

"It's artistic and creative, and the deconstructed aspects of the dress fits with this year's theme honouring Rei Kawakubo's work," Ashley added.

Another fashion star to wear H&M on Monday night was fellow model Jourdan Dunn, who turned heads in a quirky monochrome dress featuring a white off-the-shoulder sleeved shirt and a dark pinstripe skirt. She too is a big fan of the Swedish company and often turns to its clothing for her everyday wardrobe.

"I love when they do designer collaborations. They make high fashion affordable. But they are also my go-to brand for staple pieces," she told Popsugar.
