Brooke Shields is teaming up with Calvin Klein on a secret new project. The American actress, who began her career as a model, was cast by the brand in 1980 for a jeans campaign at the age of 15. Her ad, which featured Brooke baring her midriff as she lay on the floor kicking her leg up, caused outrage as she asked in the accompanying commercial: "You want to know what comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing."

The ad was quickly banned by ABC and CBS in New York for insinuating that the young star wasn't wearing any underwear.

But now, nearly four decades later, the label has tapped Brooke for a new campaign. "We are going to be working with Brooke again very soon," Calvin Klein chief executive Steve Shiffman revealed at Time Inc's Cannes Lions Shakers & Stirrers event, reports Page Six.

No other details have yet been revealed about the reunion, though fans have taken to social media to share their delight at the news.

Calvin Klein chief creative office Raf Simons has already shown himself to be a fan of the 52-year-old when earlier this year he included a nod to the Suddenly Susan actress' famous advert by using the image as patches on the back of jeans modelled on the runway at New York Fashion Week.

Brooke sat front row of the show, with Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown, Sarah Jessica Parker, and A$AP Rocky also in attendance.
