Brooke Shields is gearing up to unveil her first clothing collection. The Suddenly Susan actress has had a long association with the fashion industry, appearing on the cover of Vogue magazine at the age of 14 in 1980 and famously fronting advertisements for Calvin Klein jeans. Now, Brooke is to prove her style credentials in a new partnership, having teamed with shopping channel QVC on an apparel and accessories line, to be titled Brooke Shields Timeless.

"After years of being dressed by professionals, I walked into my closet one day and realised I had lost sight of my own personal style," the 52-year-old said of the inspiration behind her collaboration, according to WWD. "I am incredibly passionate about this collection because I have created pieces that are not only chic, but that take the guesswork out of getting ready each morning."

Brooke's collection includes a number of classic pieces, such as high waisted black trousers, striped T-shirts, skirts, button-up shirts, and scarves. The line will also include fashion jewellery, with all items priced from £29-$109 (£21-£80). Doug Howe, chief merchandising officer for QVC, said that Brooke was a natural fit for the brand and is excited for customers to see her wearable and classic designs.

"What we love about working with Brooke is her dedication to helping women live better lives, which is something we are passionate about as well," he said. "Brooke's line is sophisticated but approachable and is ideal for busy women who crave fashion that is not only chic and effortless, but a perfect mix of modern and timeless." Initial items will launch on the network on 15 February, with the full collection released on 14 March.
