With the weather being miserable, we’re totally dreaming of our summer holidays; sipping an Aperol Spritz while basking in the sunshine. We need a dose of vitamin D and we need it fast! But until then, we’ll just have to get our summer fix in any way we can – and today, it’s because Chanel has revealed a ready-to-wear apparel and accessories line will be launched in time for the summer. Yes, the Coco Beach collection will be totally chic and available in selected Chanel stores from June. The collection is inspired by the favourite beach resorts of the label’s founder, Gabrielle Chanel, and pay tribute to her love of the seaside and being outside.

According to WWD, the collection will include beachwear and swimwear and it’ll have a modern and sporty vibe. You can expect swimsuits and bikinis, lightweight dresses, shorts and Breton-striped tops. There's also a selection of accessories, including bags, camera cases, pouches and colourful espadrilles. Yes, the espadrilles aren’t going anywhere, so if you’ve already invested, you can sleep easy tonight.

The capsule will only be sold in selected stores worldwide, including Saint-Tropez, Monaco, Cannes, Nice, Barcelona, Capri, Palm Beach, Santa Fe, Honolulu and Dubai, from mid-June to September. The collection is also expected to drop in Australia, Brazil, Japan and China. It won’t be stocked in store here in the UK but with our dreary weather, can you blame Karl Lagerfeld for giving us a miss? Hopefully it’ll be still available to shop online. If not, we’ll just have to pop over to Saint-Tropez, darling.

If you’re more of a skier than a sunbather, you’ll be pleased to know Coco Neige will also be unleashed – a skiwear collection for the snow bunnies. You can expect ski jackets, salopettes, hoodies and shearling boots.

Yes, he may be 84-years-old but Karl Lagerfeld shows no sign of slowing down.
