As we all know, the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is fast-approaching. As we count down the days, hours and minutes, we’re keeping ourselves busy trying to figure out which designer Meghan Markle will wear on her wedding day. We’ve all heard the Ralph and Russo rumours, the Erdem rumours and now we’re wondering whether she’ll go for British design house, Burberry. Manchester-born designer Henry Holland has been chatting about the big royal wedding on the Wedding Guest Extraordinaire podcast – and he’s putting his money on Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s chief creative officer of the brand.

Henry said: “I personally really hope it's somebody British.

“I would be quite excited if it was Christopher Bailey's final bow for Burberry. I think that would be a nice thing for him to do, she's worn for them for a long time.”

He added: “Christopher's a lovely, lovely guy. I think a Burberry wedding dress would be pretty spot on.”

It’s not a bad guess, to be honest – Meghan is a fan! Remember when she wore the £1,995 Burberry coat in Edinburgh back in February? Plus, she often wore Burberry for red carpet events prior to her romance with Harry.

Henry Holland is just as excited as we are

Christopher Bailey recently stepped down from the helm, but is still attached to the label. Could Henry be right? Could this be his last hurrah?

Henry, who has recently designed a range of designer totes for Primark, has also revealed that we can accept it’s not going to be a Giles Deacon wedding dress. Henry revealed his designer pal had told him he wasn’t designing her gown.

Everything you need to know about Meghan Markle's wedding dress

Henry said he didn't believe that Meghan would pick hotly-tipped favourite Edrem as he's “very closely associated” to Kate, although later admitted that the royal bride-to-be might want a link to her former Canadian home.
