Kate bares all in National Portrait Gallery shots

As one of the world's most sought-after models, Kate Moss is accustomed to having the best make-up artists and stylists work their magic before she faces the cameras. The 33-year-old shows a rather more natural side to herself in a new photoshoot, however, appearing in a series of portraits without any cosmetic assistance.

The new images, which are to go on show at the National Portrait Gallery in London, have been taken by fashion photographer Corinne Day. "I wanted her to be quite serious in the pictures and not giggly, so we had to talk about serious things to get some expression in her face that was genuine," explained the snapper. "Because this is nine images, all focused tight on Kate's face, it's a cross section of her personality."

Taken at her home in London two months ago, the shots will appear alongside images of Sharon Stone, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Justin Timberlake and Madonna in the upcoming Face Of Fashion exhibition.

Asked how she felt about getting the "warts and all" treatment, Kate confessed she doesn't always look as flawless as her covergirl image might suggest. "I've got crooked teeth, bow legs and a wonky nose," joked the style queen.
