She is often spotted in a sharply-cut business suit, but heiress Ivanka Trump stepped out in a rather different ensemble on Monday night.

Donning a bright yellow tartan creation, Ivanka set flashbulbs popping as she took to the runway for the annual Dressed to Kilt fashion show. The glamorous daughter of tycoon Donald Trump, Ivanka - whose family has Scottish ancestry - pulled off the traditional dress with aplomb.

Supported by her father in the front row, Ivanka was joined on the runway by a roll call of celebrities, actors and fashionistas for the annual event, which launches New York's Tartan Week - a celebration of all things Scottish. Glasgow-born Lord Of The Rings actor Billy Boyd got into the spirit of things, too, sporting a flamboyant Royal Stewart tartan outfit complete with white curly wig.

Adding Highland glamour to the event was Terminator actress Linda Hamilton, resplendent in a navy and green flowing gown, while male model and Pamela Anderson's former beau Marcus Schenkenberg set female hearts aflutter when he strode down the catwalk in a stylish pinstripe kilt.
