Both back on home territory, Elle Macpherson and singer Delta Goodrem were the star attraction in Sydney this week as they helped launch a 30-day fashion and beauty extravaganza at new local nightspot the Old Art Factory. The supermodel, who's known as The Body, went for full-on glam in a white, goddess-style gown which flattered the tan she'd picked up during a break by the ocean in Byron Bay, New South Wales, with sister Mimi.

"It's so wonderful to be on home turf and be with friends and family," the 43-year-old told the crowd at the event, which attracted many of the country's leading fashion names. "When I come home I go shopping," she added. "We have fabulous Australian designers here. Australians have this combination of being effortlessly elegant and seriously cool at the same time."

Delta, who made a stunning contrast to Elle in a dramatic black feathered affair, had been given a special commission of her own at the evening do. "I'm going to give Elle my brother's number because my brother asked me that," said the chanteuse, who has been dating former Westlife singer Brian McFadden since 2004.

Currently promoting her new single In This Life, she was unable to perform at the event due to a husky voice, but was happy to be vocal about her love of fashion. "I'm trying to have a bit more fun with style," elaborated the 22-year-old.
