Posing by a swimming pool wearing a turban, diamond drop earrings and sexy smalls, Maggie Gyllenhaal looks for all the world like a Fifties screen starlet. The sensational pictures featuring the indie actress were released to mark her unveiling as the face and body of upmarket lingerie label Agent Provocateur.
In the images, which are taken from the 'Lesson In Lingerie' campaign, Maggie, who has an 11-month-old daughter Ramona by fiancé Peter Sarsgaard, also dons suspenders and splashes about in a bath. The sister of Brokeback Mountain actor Jake Gyllenhaal is no stranger to daring roles. She first got Hollywood's attention in Secretary, a quirky love story about an office worker who enjoys being spanked by her boss.
According to Serena Rees, co-founder of Agent Provocateur, the striking brunette was chosen for the campaign - which has previously starred supermodel Kate Moss and burlesque artist Dita Von Teese - because, "she's not an obvious sex symbol".
"Maggie's interesting looking, confident and beautiful in a way that is non-threatening, which makes her appealing to men and women alike," she added.
