'Sex And The City' stylist to create a luxury collection for M&S

The stylist who helped hit TV series Sex And The City set an on-screen fashion benchmark is to bring her award-winning skills to the UK. New York fashion guru Patricia Field, whose clients range from Sarah Jessica Parker to Anne Hathaway, has signed a deal to create a one-off collection for Marks & Spencer.

The new range, which Patricia describes as 'Destination Style New York', aims to bring the Manhattan glamour associated with Carrie and co to the British high street when it debuts in October.

The 35-item collection ranges from dresses, tops and trousers to accessories. "I like to see it as expression of my philosophy of 'the democratisation of luxury'," says Patricia, who also designed outfits for hit chick flick The Devil Wears Prada and comedy show Ugly Betty.
