Erin and Jackie deliver scorching sartorial choices at arty party

5 JUNE 2008
Although it may not yet be 'flaming June' weatherwise, a handful of beauties had clearly been inspired by the old adage when choosing their outfit for a party in the capital on Wednesday. Model Erin O'Connor, TV star Tess Daley and Laurence Llewelyn Bowen's wife Jackie all brought a taste of warmer days to the event in sizzling-hued gowns.

While willowy Erin had opted for a glorious orange affair with a 'flickering' frills skirt to attend the Royal Academy of Arts summer exhibition, Tess - who was accompanied by TV host husband Vernon Kay - was showing off her bronzed pins in a similarly hued number, completed with gold sequin detailing.

Jackie, meanwhile, demonstrated her own original take on the theme in a striking, full-skirted prom-style number.

Also adding a touch of summer to the proceedings was Lily Allen, who was accompanied by her brother Alfie and his actress love Jaime Winstone. The singer and chat show presenter was wearing a soft, peach-coloured number which set off her new pink 'do and matching stilettos.
