Jamie's bandmate causes Kate to rethink Oz tour with rocker love

Sydney rockers and fashionistas breathlessly anticipating a sighting of Jamie Hince's über-famous significant other may well be disappointed.

According to reports Kate Moss has cancelled plans to join The Kills rocker on the road in Australia because his American bandmate Alison Mosshart is worried she'll be a distraction.

"She felt his focus would on Kate, not the tour and was apparently kicking up a real fuss about Kate's presence," a source close to the two-piece band told the Daily Express.

Instead, the Croydon-born covergirl has jetted out for a no-expenses-spared detoxing trip to a spa in the Maldives with her daughter Lila, and a friend.

Alison's friendship with Jamie dates back almost a decade, to when she moved relocated from Florida to London to further their musical partnership.

In the past she's suggested the model's high-profile relationships with musicians – her ex is Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty – doesn't boost album sales.

"You could look at the sales for The Babyshambles and say having Kate attached to your band—in the media doesn’t necessarily help," she once said.

Despite rumours of rivalry between them the two ladies "get along great". "Of course we do, we always have," insists the singer.
