Kate Moss turns sci-fi princess for night out with David Walliams

Whether or not she's a fan of Star Trek, Kate Moss seemed to have been inspired by the space-age fashion of the sci-fi show's cast as she enjoyed a night out in London with comedian David Walliams.

The Croydon-born covergirl, who this week was voted the fashion icon of the Nineties in a poll to celebrate next month's London Clothes Show, was the image of futuristic chic in a glittering mini dress with winged shoulder pads. The sparkling outfit, a departure from her usual rock chick look, was perhaps a nod to the event she was attending – the launch of a new range of diamond jewellery.

Entitled White Light, the line – which includes 18 carat white gold and diamond rings and necklaces - was created by Kate's jewellery-maker pal Shaun Leane, who counts Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, Cameron Diaz, and Gwen Stefani among his celebrity clients.

In the absence of her musician boyfriend Jamie Hince - who is currently on tour with his band the Kills - Kate chummed up with David, who's currently single after splitting with his 18-year-old model girlfriend Lauren Budd last month. Other famous faces at the party included raven-haired model Erin O'Connor, elegant in a sweeping black floor length gown, Ronnie Wood's estranged wife Jo Wood and Welsh actor Rhys Ifans.
