Family affair at the Stella McCartney show as dad Paul heads up famous fan contingent Stella McCartney's fashion shows are never short of star power. The unveiling of her latest collection in Paris was no exception as a host of celebrities came together to show their support for the popular English designer.

Her biggest admirer is, without a doubt, father Paul – a front row regular at his daughter's presentations.

The proud papa made an appearance on Monday at Stella's autumn/winter 2010/2011 show, alongside his brunette love, Nancy Shevell. And the happy couple led the applause as the 38-year-old greeted and thanked her fans from the catwalk after the event.

The presence of Paul only enhanced the strong sense of family at the unveiling.

Sitting alongside the iconic Beatles musician was Maria Shriver, the first lady of California and wife of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and daughter Christina – both attending their first Paris show.

And Marks and Spencer's frontwoman Twiggy also stepped out for the fashionable affair with her husband Leigh Lawson, both no doubt there to show support for her daughter Carly, who works in Stella's design team.

It was to her own husband Alasdhair, her three children and family and friends that Stella dedicated the collection. She also paid tribute to the late designer Alexander McQueen, saying: "This one is also for you Lee – you're missed."

Other stars attending included pop star Beth Ditto, model Natalia Vodianova and actress Thandie Newton, who reportedly skipped Sunday's Oscars to support her friend.

Following presentations from designer houses Chanel, Chloe and Valentino on Tuesday, Paris Fashion Week will come to a close on Wednesday after Elie Saab, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Miu Miu have paraded their latest creations down the runway.
