Mary-Kate Olsen has revealed that despite having been in the limelight for over 20 years she feels that she and her sister Ashley have always been misunderstood."I think people looked at us and thought, 'Oh you just have everything. You can do whatever'," she said during an interview for
Alluremagazine.

You have to take a chance."Ashley also opened up on the sisterly connection between the pair."Our bond is beyond words," she said. "We both carry the weight of each other."Despite getting their big break on the TV series Full House and starring in several films, Ashley reveals that acting is no longer their passion. She admitted that they now prefer to focus their attention on their fashion lines and clothing companies The Row, Elizabeth and James and Olsenboye.Posing for separate covers for Allure magazine’s December issue, the twins express their differing personalities through their style. Mary-Kate sporting a darker look wearing a slim-fitting all black outfit whereas Ashley opts for a crisp white oxford shirt.The twins also discus their fashion empire, which expanded recently when they purchased a minority stake in e-commerce company beachmint.com. The design duo also signed on to take up positions as co-chairs on the brand’s advisory board, to consult across business, merchandising and design aspects."In our expanded roles as co-chairs of the advisory board, Ashley and I will work closely with BeachMint’s management team in this strategic phase of growth to establish the Mint brands as the leading online destination for all things fashion," said Mary-Kate Olsen.
