Victoria Beckham takes New York by storm with stunning show

It was all eyes on the front row as the audience took their seats at the Victoria Beckham show in New York, with husband David, adorable daughter Harper and sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz all present to cheer on the fashion designer.

The Beckham boys were impeccably suited and booted while Harper, two, was sporting a super cute top knot and a tasteful, all-grey outfit. "I'd love to say David chose her outfit, but I laid it all out the night before," Victoria said backstage.

The collection was a resounding success. This season's VB girl embodies modern and sophisticated, feminine but with an edge.

The signature VB figure-hugging silhouette had relaxed and was decidedly more roomy, with shift and tunic dresses, boxy shapes and lots of pleats. "I didn't put the signature Victoria Beckham dress on the catwalk this time, but it's there in the selling collection. It's still great dress," she said.

Masculine tailoring in the form of oversized coats and huge collared dresses paired with flat, lace-up shoes made for a more edgy, cool vibe. "The more people understand me and the brand, the more I can push it a little bit," she explained to The Daily Telegraph.

There was a hint of red carpet glamour with a beautiful ivory ruffled gown complete with soft pleats and a white and black floor-sweeping number.

Block colour reigned, with monochrome making up most of the palette and pops of red thrown in to spice things up. The woman of the moment herself was dressed in her signature all-black as she briefly took to the catwalk at the end of the show. "I smartened up for the show," she said. "I've actually been in jeans and Chelsea boots all week."

Victoria also addressed rumours that the Beckham brood are moving to Miami following the news that David and a group of investors would own an expansion team in the South Florida region. "The children are at school in London," she said. "That's definitely our home."
