The bridal-inspired photo showed Kim and Kanye walking on the bank of the Seine in Paris. Kim is modelling a beautiful feathered Alexander McQueen gown while Kanye wears his trademark leather trousers.
Earlier in the day, Kourtney was asked about Kim's controversial cover during an interview with Good Morning America.
Asked if she was shocked by the backlash the cover has generated, Kourtney said simply, "I haven't seen any reaction.
"I've literally been unpacking. I don't hear about any news. I'm the last to hear anything."
She added, "But I posted it on Instagram and saw, like, amazing responses and stuff. I'm so happy for her."
The host probed further, asking whether there was any truth behind the rumours that Kanye had begged editor Anna Wintour to put Kim on the cover.
"Really? I swear I'm the last to know anything, but I'm really happy for them," she responded. "I think it's beautiful."
She went on to talk about how the family is doing in the wake of mum Kris Jenner and stepdad Bruce Jenner's separation.
"We've been so busy filming," she said. "There are a lot of changes lately. Kind of new beginnings. But it's been good. All positive changes. It kind of goes with the territory when we film. There's highs and lows and we show all of those moments."
Kim and Kanye's cover shoot was revealed last Friday.
Shot by renowned fashion photographer Annie Leibovitz, 33-year-old Kim stars alongside her fiancé on the prestigious magazine's April issue.
In a nod to their upcoming wedding, the glamorous star wears a bridal-esque, off-white strapless gown. Kanye, 36, is seen standing behind her with his arms around her waist, nuzzling into her neck.
Rumours that Kim was to grace American Vogue have been swirling for months. Kanye is said to have courted Anna Wintour to bag his fiancée the highly-coveted cover.
After Vogue posted the news, Kim was quick to take to her Twitter to share her excitement. "This is such a dream come true!! Thank you @VogueMagazine for this cover! O M GGGGG!!! I can't even breath!" she wrote.
Kanye, meanwhile, wrote, "#TRILL Thank you @voguemagazine," seemingly showing how grateful he is to the 'fashion bible' for "staying true" according to the Urban Dictionary.
The couple’s daughter North West even features in the video which accompanies the high-profile fashion shoot, prompting speculation that the toddler will be a part of their full inside spread.
