Renowned for her trademark all-black ensembles, Victoria Beckham added a surprising twist to her outfit as she attended the Social Good Summit in New York on Sunday. The mother of four ditched her trademark black stilettos in favour of flats.

The fashion designer rarely steps away from her beloved stilettos, but on this occasion she chose chic pointed black-and-white flats to complement the tailored white shirt she wore, teamed with black skinny jeans and a black jumper with three-quarter length sleeves.

Victoria was speaking at the summit as part of her role as a UN International Goodwill Ambassador, joining a line-up which including Queen Rania of Jordan. The stylish royal turned heads herself with her elegant ensemble, opting for a cream dress cinched in at the waist with a belt and accessorised with a colour block bag and nude heels.

Husband David Beckham took to Instagram to congratulate Victoria on her successful speech, posting a photo of her as she took to the podium.

It's been a jam-packed few weeks for Victoria, who has been travelling between New York and London for Fashion Week. Just two weeks ago she was unveiling the new collection from her eponymous label during NYFW, before flying back to London where she and David hosted a star-studded LFW party.

The former pop star was celebrating one year of her flagship store on Dover Street, with a guestlist including David and the couple's eldest son Brooklyn, as well as A-listers from Ellie Goulding to Naomi Campbell.
