10 LFW looks perfect for Kate

Roksanda Ilinčić sent so many gorgeous, rich colours down the runway this season, and while Kate might be inclined to reach for her go-to blue, this autumnal red would look stunning on her. The abstract patchwork flowers are a nice nod to her love of floral prints, too.

The blue Christopher Kane coat that Kate wore on a trip to the designer’s native Scotland was one of her most stunning stylish moments. Christopher's ladylike collection this season had lots of options for her next visit, and this perfectly tailored variation on her beloved coatdress look would be so lovely on her.

Canadian-born Londoner Erdem has a knack for working a bit of English sensibility into his collections. This tea-length skirt and lace top are a testament to that, and would make a beautiful evening outfit for Kate, who has worn several of the designer’s coats and gowns in the past.

Chinese designer Huishan Zhang’s collection was packed with pretty dresses that were definitely Kate-worthy. Although an unexpected silhouette and colour for the Duchess, this shiny pleated number would be perfect paired with a luxe necklace for an evening event.

Coats are J. JS Lee’s forte, and it’s high time Kate added one of them to her already enviable collection. This is a different silhouette for her, but the colour is so gorgeous, and the heavy wool looks like it could brave those damp English fall days.

Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, is a long-time fan of Temperely London, and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Kate has been spotted in countless frocks from the British brand, and this lace gown is right up her alley. The icy blue colour would look gorgeous with her dark hair, but we expect she’d line it before selecting it for her next royal event, as she’s done in the past.

This season, David Koma’s collection was featured an there was an abundance of minidresses that always appeal to young starlets. This bright olive green dress, with its clean lines and layered over a black turtleneck, is a little more mature, making it ideal for the Duchess.

If the Duchess is looking for something a little bolder in both colour and print, Mary Katrantzou should be her first stop. The designer took inspiration from the Disney classic Fantasia, and that meant more whimsy and deeper colours for this collection. This flowy but tailored pleated skirt would be a great piece for Kate to wear to a more casual evening event.

Kate often turns to skinny jeans for daytime outings, but rarely chooses trousers for more formal events. These pleated, high-waist trousers could be the perfect balance of form and function for her, and the embellished sleeves on the turtleneck add a little glamour. In case she needs any convincing: Berardi’s fall collection was inspired by two British icons—Queen Elizabeth I and Shakespeare.

Colour was king on the LFW runways, and this mustard-yellow blazer from Topshop Unique was a standout piece. We love Kate’s go-to navy Smythe blazer, but a topper in an unexpected colour would look sharp layered over one of her favourite floral dresses.
