Touring songstress Rita Ora takes UK by storm in Emilio Pucci designs

One of fashion's current It girls, Rita Ora, has been snapped wearing handfuls of gorgeous garments from designer Emilio Pucci recently. And now we know why – the label and its creative director Peter Dundas has designed the costumes for her just-launched Radioactive tour. The popstar kicked off her UK tour in style on Monday night, clad in showstopping designs that the brand had fashioned for her – including a futuristic, silver catsuit that she later paired with a full white Georgian skirt to finish the show.

The fashion house has created a number of looks for the singer, and has released the original sketches that show the three ensembles in detail. Aside from the futuristic catsuit that she wore on her opening night, there is a gold jumpsuit in the same style. And Rita's signature 'urban glamour' came through in a military jumpsuit featuring leopard print and cargo pockets. According to an official statement, the brand said that Peter worked with Rita to "create costumes that perfectly echo her unique take on urban glamour." And referring to Rita's active stage presence, they continued: "Proportions and fabric have been studied to allow the best possible freedom of movement to execute the various choreographies and it is this basic concept for which all looks, differentiating the diverse moments of the show, have been built upon." Peter added: "I was thrilled to design the costumes for Rita's Radioactive tour. From the moment I met Rita we've had a great connection and doing something like this together felt like a natural progression.

"The costumes have impact and flamboyance in a way that feels personal to Rita whilst staying true to the Emilio Pucci aesthetic." And the brand's aesthetic was portrayed in the futuristic designs that took inspiration from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Rita has long been a fan of Emilio Pucci, sporting one of their embellished jumpsuits in September 2012 and stunning in a white floor-sweeping number in October. The singer-songwriter burst onto the music scene fairly recently, making headlines for her relationship with Rob Kardashian, the Kardashian sisters' younger brother. But she has already made serious waves in the fashion industry. The 22-year-old replaced Alexa Chung as the new face of Superga, and has also become best friends with model of the moment Cara Delevingne. The pair were spotted spending time together at Paris Fashion Week and Rita turned up to the Chanel show to watch Cara storm the runway.
