Victoria Beckham's first flagship store opened its doors for business in London's trendy Mayfair neighbourhood on Thursday. Hordes of fans and paparazzi eagerly waited as the store's sleek sliding door opened for the first time, allowing fashionistas to rush in and shop Victoria's Autumn/Winter 2014 collection. Waiters served elderflower water as shoppers browsed the sleek designs, while Diptyque candles filled the air with a calming scent.

Although the former Spice Girl wasn't present for the opening of her store, the white washed walls and walnut benches reflected her own sleek and minimalist style. "A lot of attention has gone into making things look really quite minimal because that's my taste," the 40-year-old designer told the Evening Standard. The elegant store features 3 floors, with her chic designs spaced out with plenty of space for shoppers to browse. Accessories were displayed in sleek glass cases, except for the bags which were showcased on shelves at the entrance of the shop. A showstopping glass tower on the ground floor showcased the Victoria Beckham eyewear designs, with reflective lenses and staple A-list sunglasses. "We've put a lot of time and effort into making sure things are perfect," added Victoria. "I put myself in the customer's shoes. I know what it's like to go shopping." The British style icon also took to Twitter to share the exciting news of her launch with a simple yet effective picture of her label with the store's Dover Street address. "VBDoverSt now open x vb," she captioned the photo.
