For denim lovers everywhere this collaboration is music to the ears - the design duo that makes up the Marques Almeida brand have created a collection for Topshop that is not only wearable but also attainable.
With the obvious 90’s references that come with a denim collection, the designers referenced from Corinne Day
and Kate Moss
shoots from that era as inspiration for the upcoming line.
Marques Almeida have created a collection for Topshop out in October
Their signature style of raw, frayed denim is adored by cool kids everywhere – successfully taking the classic material from its working class roots and catapulting it back into the world of high fashion.
The collection is not only made up of distressed denim items, other pieces include bright faux fur stoles, an array of leather looks and some citrus coloured satin jackets.
The line appears to be a capsule collection of their AW14 catwalk show, allowing admirers to own more affordable items from their favourite brand.
Unusually they have not stuck to a collection made up of various shades of blue, but have added burnt orange, aqua, crimson and acid greens to the palette.
There are pieces to satisfy everybody’s taste, without alienating the original Marques denim-obsessed customer.
The line is set to be released on topshop.com and net-a-porter.com on 9 October.
