How to get your hands on the Alexander Wang for H&M collection

hellomagazine.com

The hotly anticipated Alexander Wang for H&M collection hits stores – and online – on Thursday morning. But stock is likely to be sold out within hours – if any of the high street giant's previous designer collaborations are anything to go by.

To help you be in with a chance of getting your hands on the highly coveted range, we've compiled some top tips and tricks...

Prepare

It's likely to be more than a bit manic, so make sure you plan ahead and make a list of which bits you're after. See the picture below for our edit of the key pieces – the grey 'Wang' sweatshirt (£34.99), the 'Freyja' boots (a take on the designer's best-selling boots from his SS10 collection, £149.99), the long-sleeved top with sheer strip detailing (£79.99) and the cutout black dress (£49.99).

Earlybird

The lines were for the launch of the Isabel Marant for H&M launch last year were pretty lengthy – try and get to your nearest store as early as you can. Store open from 9am - 1pm, so we suggest being there for 8am – at the latest!

Upon arrival, you will be given a wristband indicating what time you be able to enter the store. This means you can head off and grab a coffee and return 15 minutes before your allocated time slot. There is no time limit as to how long you can spend in store.

Bear in mind – you are only allowed to buy one of each item of the collection.

Online

If you don't fancy braving the store, you can shop the collection online – it goes on sale at 9am so be logged on and ready for 8.30am! Be patient though – the site is likely to have problems due to the surge in traffic.

Returns

Unlike H&M's normal 30-day policy, the store will only accept returns and exchanges within three days. After that, you will get store credit. If you purchase the collection online, however, you have 28 days.

All accessories are final sale.
