Models reveal their biggest body hang-ups

Models may make a living out of their appearances, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are all perfectly happy with how they look – in fact, they have body insecurities just like the rest of us.

In a survey of 200 professional models in the UK aged between 16-30, carried out by Head & Shoulders, it was revealed that 75 per cent were most concerned with acne and blemishes, 66 per cent cited stretch marks and cellulite, 64 per cent called out the condition of their hair while 57 per cent suffer with dandruff/scalp issues.

Due to these concerns, the beauty products that models rely on the most are foundation (66 per cent), intensive hair conditioner (55 per cent) and concealer (52 per cent).

And the products aren't necessarily the most expensive on the market – in fact, 66 per cent the models polled revealed that they rely more on drugstore brands than prestige ones for their everyday beauty needs.

Understandably, the majority of the models (82 per cent) agreed that they are most confident when their hair looks good.

Due to lots of photoshoots and constant hair styling, models' hair can often be left in less-than-perfect condition, with the most common problems being split ends, lack of volume and dryness.

Many have also experienced a hair disaster or two, speaking anecdotally of wonky fringes, terrible haircuts and over-bleaching.

To ensure your hair is always in camera-ready condition, try head & shoulders Limited Edition Collection Smooth & Silky Shampoo and Conditioner. 56 per cent of the models surveyed said they have used/are using head & shoulders. As well as the ZPT technology which provides up to 100% flake free hair**, you’ll be sure to turn heads with irresistibly silky soft hair. Now you can have it all – the benefits of beautiful, model-worthy hair, and a healthy scalp.
