The Duchess of Cambridge worked a relaxed, country-chic look as she joined a group of school pupils and teachers in Arlingham, Gloucestershire on Wednesday afternoon for an outing with Farms for City Children. Dressed in a Jigsaw sweater, light khaki Troy London Parka and skinny Zara jeans, she looked effortlessly lovely. She completed her outfit with her trusty, tassel-adorned leather Penelope Chilvers boots and accessorised with a pair of stylish earrings by Kiki McDonough.

The Duchess looked casual but cool during her Gloucestershire outing

Her glossy dark hair was worn in a half-up, half-down style and her make-up was low-key yet polished. A flawless base was enlivened with a light sweep of fuchsia-pink blush and she accentuated her eyes with dark liner and plenty of black mascara.

Kate was shown around the farm by children’s author Michael Morpurgo and his wife Clare who told her all about the fantastic charity they founded in Devon 1976. Farms for City Children offers youngsters an opportunity to spend a week on a real working farm in the heart of the countryside. Over 3,000 children and 400 teachers are welcomed to the three working farms each year.

The Duchess is no stranger to the great outdoors and she’s always sure to dress for the occasion. In October 2016 Kate wore a casual hooded khaki jacket as she stepped aboard the Pacific Grace ship in Canada’s Victoria Harbour. Last June she graced the cover of Vogue’s centenary issue dressed in a country-ready, quintessentially British look. She was photographed by Josh Olins looking relaxed and radiant in a fitted white shirt, double-breasted suede coat from Burberry and a green fedora hat.

Back in 2012 she donned dark blue jeans, a thick gilet and a pair of leather-lined wellingtons for an ‘Expanding Horizons’ primary school scheme at the Widehorizons Margaret McMillan House in Wrotham, Kent.

During the Farms for City Children outing the 35-year-old Duchess was more than happy to get stuck in at the farm - she made her way from allotment to allotment, tending to the pigs, sheep and chickens.
