Primark has revealed its new summer footwear range online, which includes a cool pair of blue elasticated trainers, costing a purse-friendly £12. The running shoes feature a white sole and elasticated hem, and would be the perfect footwear for both the gym or to add an athleisure touch to your outfit. And on close inspection, it appears that the high-street brand have taken inspiration from Nike's 'Free Rn Commuter 2017' design, which retail at £94.95, but are currently in the sale for just £62.97. The shoes also feature an elasticated strap – replacing traditional laces, and a contrasting white sole. There are currently a vast range of colours to choose from, including khaki, off-white, olive and plum.
Primark's cost-friendly £12 trainers
This isn’t the first time Primark have made it easy for shoppers to find affordable and fashionable footwear. Throughout the year, the store has been impressing with its vast range of shoes. These have included a pair of £10 red stilettos sold back in June, which looked exactly like luxury shoe designer Gianvito Rossi’s £550 ‘Portofino sandals.’
Nike's £95 version
The store shared a range of patterned ballet shoes and slip-on loafers on their Instagram account earlier in the year, which were priced at just £8. Eagle-eyed fashion fans were quick to point out that Primark's shoes look almost identical to a £530 pair currently available in several different colours at Gucci.
Primark are also selling a similar design for men
Primark also released backless mules that were very similar to a £475 Prada pair back in April. Customers have the choice of three styles - dark denim, black and nude, which are on sale for an ultra-affordable £8, giving fans the opportunity to own a very similar pair of shoes at a fraction of the price. The shoes, which are the perfect thing to wear day or night, come in both midnight blue and black.
