We all love an 'IT' bag – but they tend to be of the designer variety and are normally notoriously hard to get hold of. But sometimes some of our favourite high-street stores produce a universally-loved item that we just can’t wait to own. Kurt Geiger's Kensington bag has cult status due to its fabulous boxy shape, chain strap and decadent fabrics – tweed, metallic and polka dots to name a few. But none is more recognisable than the Rainbow, which features a plethora of stripes and is a total technicolour dream. The bag almost caused the KG website to crash after it was launched last year and there was a growing waiting list of over 1000 people itching to get their hands on the cheerful design when it sold out. The £199 bag - which also boasts the iconic jewelled eagle on the front – now has a new counterpart – a backpack! The square-edged design will be dropping into stores at the end of July and will be priced at £179. We predict a mass-sell out, so keep your eyes peeled!
Rainbow Kensington Backpack, £179
The high street store is known for its fabulous collection of leather goods – and we couldn’t have been more excited when we discovered that the brand named a pair of their embellished lock shoes after the Queen.
The 'Queenie' embellished sandals have a clear regal edge and feature a jewel-encrusted strap which are just as sparkly as the crown jewels. The heels are designed with an on-trend block heel that are not only comfortable, but super-directional and would look gorgeous paired with tailored trousers or a fancy frock. The shoes retail at £149 and come in tan and black – classic colours that will never date. Kurt Geiger definitely has the royal seal of approval lately - Princess Beatrice even wore two pairs by the brand in under two days last month.
