Michelle Williams is pretty in pastels for new Louis Vuitton campaign

Michelle Williams is the epitome of retro chic for the new Louis Vuitton autumn/winter 2014 campaign. The 33-year-old channels the 1960s with a short platinum haircut, and a pastel dress teamed with a white turtleneck jumper, from what is Nicolas Ghesquière's debut collection for the brand following the departure of  Marc Jacobs.

In the images shot by renowned fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, the Blue Valentine star poses with the brand's Capucine and Lockit bags, in pastel shades of blue and pink. This is the third campaign in a row that Michelle has fronted for the brand. While previous ads saw her posing with sultry makeup using props and bicycles, this latest campaign is stripped back, focusing simply on the actress and the clothes, with a more natural beauty look. "The resulting series of portraits hints at the woman behind the actress," read a statement from the iconic French fashion house. "Revealing the intriguing balance of force and fragility that made Michelle Williams such a compelling choice as the face of Louis Vuitton."

Michelle has had a close relationship with the brand for many years, and chose to wear Louis Vuitton at the 2012 Oscars where she was nominated for the Best Actress award for her role in My Week With Marilyn.

Opting for a burnt orange number with a ruched bust and peplum detailing, Michelle stood out from the crowd and appeared on countless best-dressed lists.
