Cinderella may have had a fairy godmother to update her wardrobe, but for the ultimate fairytale shopping experience nowadays, London's Harrods is the ultimate destination. The department store has teamed up with Disney to recreate six scenes from the new live-action feature Cinderella starring Lily James, Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter, transporting shoppers into a world of glass slippers and dazzling ballgowns.

Costumes from Disney's upcoming Cinderella are on display at Harrods

The recreated scenes see everything from Cinderella meeting her Fairy Godmother to the wicked step-sisters unsuccessfully attempting to fit their feet into the glass slipper, with the upcoming film's original and dazzling costumes designed by Oscar-winning designer Sandy Powell. Fashionistas can also take a sneak peek at the iconic glass slippers created for the film by Swarovski, hewn from solid crystal and featuring 221 light-reflecting facets. Fit for a princess, the shoes will be getting the full royal treatment with a Palace Guard watching over them throughout the display. However, they are not the only shoes to turn heads at the glitzy store. Designers Nicholas Kirkwood, Jimmy Choo, Charlotte Olympia, Salvatore Ferragamo, Stuart Weitzman, Paul Andre, Alexandre Birman, Rene Caovilla and Jerome Rousseau all gave the fantasy footwear their own high fashion twist, with their creations being brought to life and unveiled in Harrods' famous windows displays.

"I think every girl desires a Cinderella moment in their lives," said Jimmy Choo's creative director Sandra Choi. "This story ignites a love affair and fascination with shoes that never dies. The power they have to transform is instilled from a young age and the fantasy remains alive forever." For those wanting to get the full Cinderella experience, the designers' dazzling creations will be available to purchase exclusively from the Harrods Shoe Heaven section on the fifth floor. Meanwhile, children can have their own fairytale moment at Disney's Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the store, as well as replenishing their energy at the Disney Café.
