Victoria Beckham turned heads as she stepped out on Thursday for Alexander McQueen's Savage Beauty gala. The fashion designer was showcasing a dramatic look, which included a smokey eye and striking cut-out black gown for the grand occasion. The former Spice Girl donned a strapless number that was hand-made for her by her very own fashion house. It featured floral ruffle embellishment on the flowing skirt and triangular cut-out detailing.

Husband David, meanwhile, was dapper in a navy suit and bow tie for the Victoria and Albert museum event, which celebrated the hugely-anticipated exhibition of late designer Lee McQueen's work. The couple were in excellent company at the hugely-anticipated exhibition, rubbing shoulders with the likes of supermodels Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Erin O'Conner and actresses Salma Hayek and Naomie Harris. Kate stole the show both on the red carpet and in the exhibition, which saw her 3D holographic image take pride of place alongside around 240 of the late designer's most iconic creations. Upon arrival with husband Jamie Hince, the star wore a sheer black lace McQueen number with a matching bodysuit underneath.

She paired the elegant gown, which featured a high neck, long sleeves and a delicate flowing skirt, with a pair of strappy heels and a matching McQueen clutch bag, wearing her blonde locks loose in her favoured tousled style.

Stunning starlet Cressida Bonas was also at the exclusive bash. The fledgling actress opted for a flowing black silk number featuring a pink and black print panel and a matching clutch.

McQueen was famous for his daring creations and avant-garde fashion shows which drew upon themes of nature, history, romance and tragedy.

The pretty blonde, who is the former girlfriend of Prince Harry, had styled her locks into loose waves. The exhibition, which was originally shown at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, is a homecoming for the designer, whose earlier work was influenced heavily by London where he grew up and based his label.
