Karlie Kloss and Doutzen Kroes shocked fans when it was revealed that they would be hanging up their angel wings and leaving Victoria's Secret, but it seems the lingerie giant has found a new angel to help fill the gap. Swedish model Elsa Hosk has reportedly received the highly coveted contract and will be joining the supermodel line-up which already includes Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge.

Elsa Hosk is reportedly the latest model to become a Victoria's Secret angel

Speculation started after the 26-year-old's agency, IMG Models, updated her profile on the website. "She served as a brand ambassador for [Victoria's Secret] Pink line for two consecutive years, and recently received the company's prestigious "Contract Angel" title," they wrote. However, the biography has since been edited to omit the sentence revealing her new angelic status. Fans have speculated that it could be the announcement was made prematurely, as Victoria's Secret themselves have yet to make an official statement. Elsa already shares a close relationship with Victoria's Secret, having featured in campaigns for their Pink line, as well as walking in their dazzling fashion show in London in December. The blonde beauty most recently starred in their Swim Special issue with eight other Victoria's Secret models, further establishing her as one-to-watch within the brand.

The rising star already enjoys a successful career which sees her working for brands including Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and H&M. She began modelling when she was 14 years old and juggled her fashion career alongside a stint in the Swedish Women's basketball league. It comes as no surprise that Victoria's Secret would be looking for a new angel. Earlier this year fans were surprised to learn that Karlie was hanging up her wings, after officially becoming an angel in 2013. Ed Razek, senior creative for Victoria's Secret confirmed the news, revealing that her hectic schedule made it difficult for her to fulfil her commitments. "Karlie and I met several months ago to discuss the many things she hoped to do in her life and career," he said in a statement. "As we talked, it became clear she would not have the time to fulfil her myriad commitments." Just days after the news, it was revealed that Doutzen was also leaving the brand. The seven-year-veteran left Victoria's Secret quietly in December after appearing in their runway extravaganza.
