Barely 24 hours after she dazzled in her daring Roberto Cavalli by Peter Dundas gown at the Met Ball, Kim Kardashian was once again turning heads in an all-white ensemble. The 34-year-old showed that her edgy style isn't just for the red carpet as she rocked a sultry pencil skirt and lace top at a signing for her new book, Selfish, which was published this month.

The star, who stepped out without rapper husband Kanye West for the event, showcased her enviable curves in the white figure-hugging midi skirt with large black buttons. She paired it with a racy lace top which featured long-sleeves and a turtleneck neckline. Kim completed the look with a pair of strappy black sandals, and wore her glossy black locks slicked back for a high fashion finish.

Despite having partied the night away at the Met Ball the night before alongside the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Madonna, the Keeping up with the Kardashians star was fresh-faced as she greeted fans and signed copies of her new book, a collection of her infamous selfies.

Kim topped best-dressed lists around the world on Monday night as she walked the world-famous steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a semi-transparent gown that featured silver embellishments, but left all attention to her famous derriere. The back of Kim's gown featured an exquisite feathered train.

Kim received criticism for her gown at the 2013 Met Ball

This year's reactions marked a stark contrast to the criticism she received for her outfit at the glitzy event in 2013, when she rocked a custom-made floral maternity gown designed by Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci while pregnant with daughter North.

However, the reality TV queen has since opened up the Met Gala furore. "I had these gloves and this whole floral print and I loved it," she said. "I thought it was so cool and it got a lot of criticism and I didn't care because I really loved it."
