Rihanna's first campaign for Dior has been unveiled, and as usual the 27-year-old has floored the industry with her enviably toned body and flawless beauty. Already a style icon thanks to her edgy ensembles, Rihanna has now conquered the world of high fashion modelling as she stars in the French fashion house's Secret Garden campaign.

The Diamonds singer took to Instagram to share some of the images, photographed by Steven Klein, which see the star rocking sultry ensembles from a black top with a plunging neckline to a sequinned figure-hugging dress. Her glossy black locks are slicked back and her look is completed with a slick of statement red lipstick for ultimate glamour.

Rihanna also models sunglasses and handbags from the brand's Esprit Dior collection, unveiled on the catwalk in Tokyo last December.

The We Found Love artist also shared a still from the accompanying video campaign on Instagram – it is the fourth instalment of Dior's Secret Garden series, which was also shot by Steven. The short clip takes place at the glamorous Palce of Versailles, where Rihanna walks around the palace's opulent halls and breathtaking gardens wearing some of creative director Rag Simons' gorgeous haute couture designs.

"In this short movie, [Rihanna] knew how to work with Versailles," Dior's chief executive office Sidney Toledano told WWD. "She has this kind of elegance – we saw it from the very first moment – and then she can surprise. She can be unexpected and we like it. It's part of this personality."

The Bajan beauty, who is the first black woman to become a spokesperson for Dior, joins a line-up of brand ambassadors including Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron, Mila Kunis and Marion Cotillard.

"It feels fantastic," she told MTV News when it was first revealed that she would model for Dior. "It is such a big deal for me, for my culture, for a lot of young girls of any colour. I think, to be acknowledged by Dior is just, it means a lot as a woman to feel beautiful, and elegant, and timeless."
