Estelle Chen has heaped praise on Victoria's Secret for choosing to cast a diverse range of models. The fashion model, who was born in Paris to Chinese parents, is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after names in the business, having walked the runway for Louis Vuitton and Proenza Schouler.

Estelle is also set to star in the upcoming Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and she's excited to be working with a company which seeks out models from all over the world.

"It's hard because we usually have one or two slots for Asian girls and two or three slots for black girls; you're always sad to see that," she told WWD. "But I think Victoria's Secret is amazing because they have such a diverse cast. They have many white girls, black girls and Asian girls. It's not only 90 per cent white girls and five per cent black girls and five per cent Asian."

The 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is headed to Shanghai!

When Estelle walks the catwalk for brand in Shanghai in November, she will join the likes of Liu Wen and Sui He in appearing for the American lingerie brand. And she shares that her fan base has had a major boost since her participation was announced last month.

Why Kendall Jenner won't walk at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show

"I've gained like probably 10,000 followers since last week. I was pretty shocked. I get a lot of messages from Chinese fans because they are so sweet, we're so happy you're coming back to China," the star smiled.

While working for Victoria's Secret marks a major milestone for Estelle, she claims to just be getting started when it comes to her career. In particular, the brunette has her sights set on an international Vogue cover.

"I think I would love to get a Vogue cover such as Vogue Paris or Vogue China… and maybe, I don't know, a beauty contract. But I'm grateful for anything I get when it comes to jobs," she added.
