Jane Fonda will be rocking the runway at Paris Fashion Week in a historic show hosted by L'Oreal. The Avenue des Champs-Elyseess, one of the City of Light's most famous streets, will be shut down by bosses at the make-up company for the first time ever and transformed into a catwalk for the huge Le Defile L'Oreal Paris (the L'Oreal Paris Parade) event.

Jane, a longtime L'Oreal ambassador, is set to grace the runway alongside the likes of models such as Doutzen Kroes, Maria Borges and Soo Joo Park at the show, which is scheduled to take place on 1 October.

The 79-year-old actress and her fellow models will be sporting over 70 unique looks created by L'Oreal Paris's global makeup director Val Garland and her team.

The catwalk spectacular is designed to be an inclusive show that celebrates diversity, according to L'Oreal brand present Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou.

"Bringing the show onto the most famous street of Paris is a way of opening up the worlds of fashion and beauty like never before," Angeloglou gushed in a statement. "Le Defile L'Oreal Paris is truly open to all and we are proud to cast models and spokespersons from all around the world and from diverse backgrounds to represent beauty for everyone."

The L'Oreal Paris Parade is a joint beauty and fashion show, with several companies in the style industry participating in the effort. Jewellery brand Chopard, French fashion house Balmain, and British label Mulberry are some of the many brands collaborating in the show.
