American Pie actress Tara Reid had an unforgettable encounter with some dolphins when she paid a visit to Australia's Gold Coast on Thursday. The popular performer was clearly thrilled to share a dip with the friendly residents of Brisbane's Sea World.

"It was unbelievable," sais the 30-year-old afterwards. "It was one of the most magical moments of my life - I think this is my favourite experience. It's amazing."

The pretty blonde also confessed that swimming with dolphins represented the fulfilment of a life-long ambition. "It's so funny because in America everyone has dreams of what they want to do," she explained. "That's one of the things I've always wanted to do in my life and never accomplished. I just did now - I'm on a high!"

And the New Jersey-born star seems equally taken with the expansive country's human inhabitants. "I love Australia," she said. "The people are amazing... they're a lot of fun, and just really good people."
