The movie title says it all. In her latest big screen venture, Confessions Of A Shopaholic, Australian actress Isla Fisher plays a girl with a serious spending addiction. But in real life don't expect to see her fighting over Gucci boots or wandering dreamily around shopping malls like her on-screen persona Rebecca Bloomwood.

"I'm not a shopaholic," says the petite star, who was busy launching the film in New York this week with co-stars Hugh Dancy and Joan Cusack. "I shop rarely and poorly. But I do buy books."

Just to say she doesn't like retail therapy doesn't mean the mum of one isn't a fashion fan though. She was delighted when she found out Sex And The City stylist Patricia Field would be working on the film.

"She really has a magic box filled with things you've never seen," says Isla, who is engaged to British funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen. "Accessories you can't even imagine… she goes to the most random places, to different countries, faraway lands. She says, 'I got these boots in Japan, I got this hat in Burma' and you're suddenly in this incredible outfit. It was magical."
