Fresh from their trip to Milan Fashion Week, there was another high profile event for mother and daughters team Sarah, Duchess of York, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. One particularly close to their hearts, as it was the UK premiere of Young Victoria, a production which was the brainchild of mum Sarah.

Strolling the red carpet in London with her two glam daughters, the flame-haired royal – who had chosen a midnight purple Vivienne Westwood affair for the occasion - said she was thrilled to be launching the film, which was the result of 15 years of dreaming.

"I'm very lucky. This is magic isn't it?" enthused the 49-year-old, who also co-produced the project. "If you dare to dream one day your dream could come true."

It was a big night for Beatrice too. The 20-year-old royal makes her big screen debut in the movie, which tells the tale of the early years of the life of Queen Victoria, her great-great-great-great-grandmother. She has a non-speaking role as a lady-in-waiting to the monarch.

Famous faces at the premiere included Emily Blunt - who plays the title role in the flick - and Keira Knightley's actor boyfriend Rupert Friend, who portrays Prince Albert. Oscar winner Ben Kingsley and Bill Nighy were also on the guest list.
