In the world of showbiz, they say you should never work with animals or children. But Rachel McAdams wouldn’t necessarily agree – her recent experience working alongside two young actresses has only given her a taste for a family of her own.
"Having kids would be great," the 30-year-old Canadian said at Wednesday's New York premiere of The Time Traveller's Wife.
"The little girls in this film were so fantastic. They are real sisters and they made my job really easy," she told People. "So I didn’t have to work too hard at that."
In the romantic drama, The Notebook actress Rachel stars as Clare alongside Eric Bana who plays as her time travelling husband. And she was able to test her maternal skills with her on-screen daughter, played by sisters Hailey, 12, and ten-year-old Tatum McCann.
Adding that she was looking forward to motherhood "someday", Rachel also revealed she will look close to home for guidance when she does become a parent.
"My mum is a great inspiration to me. She's a nurse and very nurturing and gentle," the currently single brunette star said. "She lets me be who I am. Hopefully I can take on those qualities and be as great as her."
