It might have been a red carpet cinema bash, but it seemed more like a regular girls' night out for Sharon Stone and Helen Mirren as the pals attended the Rudolph Valentino Awards in Sardinia.
The glam pair at one point could barely contain their mirth during the ceremony. And Sharon was still in high spirits at the after party as she sat down to eat, while elsewhere, Helen snapped away on her camera to take away some pictorial mementos.
And as is the prerequisite for any successful girls' night out, both actresses were dressed up to the nines. Oscar-winner Helen was elegant in a tiered cream gown with a tulle shawl.
Meanwhile 51-year-old Sharon, who usually favours Dior, was a vision in a strapless spiral Armani Privé Fall 2009 bustier mermaid gown with black embroidered sequin details.
Both ladies were at the bash to pick up gongs – golden statuettes depicting cine idol Rudolph Valentino in the role of his 1926 film The Son Of The Sheik.
This year's winners - who receive the award for their international sucess in the world of cinema - were chosen by a panel of international newspaper film critics from Italy, France, Britain, Canada and the United States.
