That's what one hapless audience member found out during a Broadway starring Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig.
Aussie actor Hugh – better known as X-Men action hero Wolverine - turned his fire on a New York theatregoer when his phone went off during a particularly intense scene in A Steady Rain, his two-hander with the British 007 star.
"You want to get that?" asked Hugh angrily, still using the Chicago accent of his character – a corrupt cop – and pacing the stage angrily.
"I don’t care, grab it. Grab your phone, it doesn't matter," he continued to applause from the audience.
With the mobile still ringing he urged: "Come on, just turn it off unless you got a better story, you want to get up and tell your story?"
A few seconds later another phone went off and it was the turn of his co-star Daniel to intervene.
"Just get the phone. We can wait," he said feigning annoyance.
The stars have received rave reviews for the powerful play about two policeman reliving their memories of a few days that changed their lives.
