When your new girlfriend looks this good why wouldn't you want to show her off? That was clearly George Clooney's attitude at the London film festival. For the second night in a row the 48-year-old screen idol arrived with gorgeous Italian presenter Elisabetta Canalis on his arm. For some ladies being the companion of the most photographed bachelor in the world might make them feel under pressure. But not Elisabetta. Already well-known in her own country, the 31-year-old took it all in her stride, soaking up the limelight in a dusky pink bespoke creation from Issa. Her stellar red-carpet turn followed the opening night of the extravaganza when snappers went into overdrive at the sight of her in a sexy black number that was split to the thigh. The couple's appearance this time was to promote The Men Who Stare at Goats, a comedy about a secret US army unit in the Seventies which believed troops could become invisible and kill goats just by staring at them. It's not the last the capital will see of Gorgeous George. His third film Up in the Air is also showing, prompting him to ask journalists in his typical self-deprecating fashion: "Are you sick of me yet?"
