With rumours of an engagement between Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz rife, celeb watchers may have been surprised to see the actor browsing an Indonesian market with another gorgeous girl this week.
But fans of the Spanish couple fear not – it was all in the name of the Oscar-winner's craft.
Javier was at the Ubud market in Bali to film scenes with Hollywood sweetheart Julia Roberts for their upcoming drama, Eat, Pray, Love.
Looking like a typical tourist in a straw hat and sandals, the 40-year-old star and Julia – appropriately dressed in a loose fitting dress and scarf and carrying a fan – meandered past rails of bright fabrics as cameras filmed the action.
Due for release in 2011, the movie is based on the autobiographical novel of the same name by Elizabeth Gilbert.
It tells the story of a woman who, after trying to get pregnant and enduring a painful divorce, realises her life needs to go in a different direction and sets of on a journey across the world.
The film – a Brad Pitt production - also stars Billy Crudup, Richard Jenkins and Viola Davis.
