Angelina Jolie debuts Unbroken: film 'we all need now more than ever'
Angelina Jolie drew all attention as she promoted her upcoming film Unbroken in Las Vegas.

The mother-of-six was attending the CinemaCon conference on Tuesday, where she gave an inspirational speech during the presentation on "The State of the Industry: Past, Present and Future and Universal Studios."

As she walked on stage, Angelina looked radiant in a flowing white jacket and trouser ensemble.

"I wanted to make this film because in the end, its message is one we all need now more than ever," explained Angelina. "It's the journey of a man finding his way through the darkness and into the light. It is about an imperfect person — one who we and our children can relate to."

The biopic tells the story of army pilot and POW Louis Zamperini, who is captured by the Japanese after his plane goes down.

Angelina described real-life protagonist Louis — who is 97 and lives in Los Angeles — as the "toughest man [she's] ever met," a "true hero" and a "man of faith."

Studio chairman Donna Langley also praised Angelina, who made her directorial debut in 2011 with wartime drama In the Land of Blood and Honey.

"Over the years the project experienced a number of false starts," said Donna. "It never quite all came together until it caught the attention of a force of nature, Angelina Jolie. Angie made this movie happen. She fought for it and earned the right to direct it."

The audience were then treated to a short clip of the film, which will be released at the end of this year.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

While Angelina and her fiancé Brad Pitt have previously said that they do not want their children to become actors, five-year-old Vivienne has a cameo appearance in Angelina's upcoming film Maleficent.

The adorable twin plays the young protagonist Aurora in this version of Disney's Sleeping Beauty, and stars opposite her mother Angelina who takes on the role of the Mistress of All Evil — the character who curses baby Aurora.

"We think it's fun for our kids to have cameos and join us on set, but not to be actors," Angelina previously told Entertainment Weekly.

"That's not the goal for Brad and me at all. I think we would both prefer that they didn't become actors."
